I cannot attend the conference. May I send a colleague instead?
Yes, a name change is possible until May 16, 2021 and an administrative fee of 30 EUR is charged for every name change. Please contact the conference secretariat at email@example.com.

I would like to register for a Field Trip. How can I do that?
What is the COVID-19 Travel Policy?
If you would like to take part in a Field Trip please follow the current rules in the Czech Republic or other related countries. A COVID-19 test and other travel rules may be required.
I would like to cancel my participation on a Field Trip. Will I receive a refund?
In case of cancellation of the Field Trip due to force majeure (such as pandemics, government acts or orders, quarantines; national or regional emergencies; or any other cause, whether similar in kind to the foregoing or otherwise, beyond the party’s reasonable control.), GUARANT International reserves the right to charge a 30 EUR handling fee. The rest of your payment will be refunded after the conference. In case you would like to cancel your participation due to the personal matter, the cancellation conditions apply to your registration and accommodation reservation.
In case of impossibility to participate on a Field Trip due to COVID-19 disease, we recommend you additional travel insurance, which includes cancellation of the trip due to COVID-19 disease.
What if a Field Trip would be under-subscribed and cancelled?
All registered participants will be contacted via email just after the registration deadline with the possibility of changing the Field Trip or receiving a full refund in case of under-subscribed and cancelled Field Trip.
Can I register during the conference?
Yes, but only on-line payment by credit card will be possible.
What is included in my registration fee for the virtual conference?
Registration fee includes:
- Access to the Online Conference
- Questions and Answers, Discussions, Chat, Networking
- Admission to the Online Exhibition area and Poster session.
- Access to ECS activities, such as workshops etc.
How do I access the virtual conference?
Links and further information on accessing the 35th IAS Meeting of Sedimentology will be announced one week before the Virtual Conference at the latest.
What do I need technically to attend the virtual Conference?
To attend the virtual conference, you need a stable internet connection, a computer or other electronic device and a valid registration. More technical and detailed information will be posted at the official Conference website in due course.
How do I become an IAS member?
You can become a member or renew your membership in the on-line form while purchasing the registration fee to the IAS Meeting available here. In case you are not sure about your membership status, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In which time zone is the 35th IAS Meeting of Sedimentology taking place?
All live sessions will take place in the Central European Summer Time – CEST (UTC+2).
When is the Abstract Submission Deadline?
The abstract submission deadline is February 15, 2021 at 23:59:59 PST. After this date no changes in your abstract can be made.
How I will recognize whether my abstract was accepted/rejected?
All authors will be notified via email by May 5, 2021.
I have already registered and paid for my registration, however, my abstract was not accepted. Can I cancel my registration?
Yes, in such case please notify the conference secretariat at email@example.com. Your registration will be refunded in full less 30 EUR handling fee. The refunds will be made after the conference.
I am a presenting author, do I need to do anything else?
All presenting authors must be paid registrants at the Meeting. The contribution will only be included in the book of abstracts and in the program if the presenting author has paid his/her registration by the early bird registration deadline (May 7, 2021). It is important that all authors have approved the article as accepted for publication and available for other participants after the Meeting.

Each author, whose abstract will be chosen for oral presentation, would need to submit pre-recorded presentation (video) and decide whether to give consent for storing the recording so it can be viewed by the Meeting delegates up to one month after the IAS Meeting.
